Moosefest Wrap-up

Despite overnight temperatures dipping into the 20’s this year’s Moosefest was a great time as always. Plus, unlike some years, there was no need to dig through snow to get to your gear in the morning as skies were clear and the sun shinning for most of the weekend.

American Whitewater enjoyed the weekend connecting with members old and new over a great river and the cool town of Old Forge, NY. AW setup Saturday afternoon at the local paddle shop Mountainman Outdoor Supply Company and joined representatives from Dagger, Immersion Research, Liquidlogic, Pyranha and Werner for some post-paddling story telling and clinics. That evening AW setup at the local nighttime hotspot Slickers signing up members and holding an exciting raffle with a brand new Ammo kayak courtesy of Pyranha Kayaks as the grand prize!

A huge thanks goes out to Pyranha Kayaks for donating an Ammo kayak and pyranha sprayskirt to the AW membership auction. Likewise, an equally big thanks goes out to Corey Volt of Team Dagger who held a free waterfall running clinic and helped out at the AW membership booth all weekend. Last but not least, thanks to Mountainman Outdoor Supply Company and Slickers for graciously allowing American Whitewater room to setup our membership table.
