Abstract
The Clarion River meanders through more than 115 miles of narrow serpentine valleys and hardwood forests. Located in the Pennsylvania Wilds in the northwestern corner of the state, its headwaters break the surface in McKean County and join with the Allegheny River in Clarion County. The Clarion River’s water trail guides are divided into three sections: the Upper (Headwaters to Irwin Run), the Middle (Irwin Run to Mill Creek), and the Lower (Mill Creek to the Allegheny River—Still in development).Description
