This is a series of four pics from the camera of Rob Siegel showing the wood at the top of Rapid Transit and in Zwick's. There are two photos showing the entrance to Rapid Transit and two of the log in Zwick's.

The level here is 20-21" on the stick......five days after some Richter-high water on May 6th, 2013.

Below is the warning that I added to the beginning of the Narrows page after the wood arrived, and conjecture at what untold levels were in the gorge after all the rain we had:

NEW WOOD....5/8/13....Following the 4-6" of rain over the weekend and 200% releasing 24-7, the Green reached unknown and likely historic levels. A reading of 32"+ was seen on the afternoon of May 5th (the gauge goes to 32"), and following that the dam began spilling over, reaching a late-night peak of 101.7', combined with more rain. One can only guess how high the Narrows got, peaking likely in the very early morning of May 6th........50"?....60"?.........Regardless, there is new wood in Zwick's that deserves a look, and new wood in Rapid Transit that is huge. Things change and move; unless you know things are clear then head's up.

Besides these photographs, the trees are also seen in two recent videos from Shane Benedict: the 20-incher, and the 22-incher.

June 20, 2013 update: Tree gone from Zwick's,,,,,,mysterious beavers at work.

December 17, 2015 update: Somebody cut the Rapid Transit tree out. Some pieces lodged in entrance to the Spout Boof (on the right side of Nutcracker).
