These falls parallel Smalls Falls. You can run Smalls Falls then walk thru the woods and run these lower drops. They are super fun! This makes Smalls Falls and Chandler Mill Stream Falls the best park and huck on the East Coast..period.
Better yet when there is water, you can hike up an old road river right above Smalls Falls, about 1.5 miles and run the second (top) gorge to the Sandy through the lower gorge to the confluence of the Sandy below Smalls Falls. There are a lot of really fun drops in there including a 30-35 footer. Earliest know run was in the Spring of 1990 by Dave Gatz, John Wood, Bill and Joan Hildreth.
