River Description

Water will either come from spill of Grant Lake or release from "return ditch" downstream.  From return ditch to a rock quarry east of Hwy 395, the creek is continuous class III with occasion brush hazards.  After the rock quarry is a notable congested class V rapid.  Take out here as the creek becomes severely overgrown flatwater downstream.  Before the creek reaches Mono Lake, there is a roadside play wave the is formed by the creek pouring out of a tunnel under Test Station Rd.  Flow: 200-400 cfs.  Season: Spring/Summer
