From Benchmark to the West Fork Sun confluence things tend to be fast and splashy, with one potential crux rapid ~1.5 miles above the confluence. Below 200 cfs this stretch gets marginal in any boat. Above 1000 cfs things get pushy and the aforementioned crux can have problematic hydraulics.
The main S Fork from the confluence to the reservoir is easy II with the exception of the big drop just before the reservoir. I've yet to see this drop in runable condition due to wood, but it looks to be quality IV/V.
Note this run requires a significant reservoir paddle.
