Hole at the top becomes a nice big pillow. A good sized wave train through the bridge. Eddies are hard to catch. 1000 cfs moving through a 20 foot wide channel Gauge is located a few miles downstream but there are few tributaries of consequence so the correlation should be pretty accurate.

River Description

Packers falls is a park-and play spot near Durham, or the apex of a short float from Wiswall dam.

During high runnoff this short section can be very fun, but be wary of ice chunks and a big ice shelf in the pool below.

This is basically a park and play spot with a small 6 ft drop at the top leading through a little rock garden into a big pool. You can also run from Wiswall dam down to Packers falls. The section between is scenic class I-II at all but high flows.

This is a pretty straightforward and short run. But be aware there are several wood hazards
downstream before the pool. They're easy to miss in a boat, but we had a close call at low-medium
flows with a swimmer. The paddle is still under the logs, luckily he went over. This is a pretty
straightforward park and play spot if you're in your boat. But exercise caution nonetheless.
