Yet another Sturgeon River in the U.P. with a short stretch of rapids. This one may offer some minor park-and-play, or short shuttle reach.

USGS lists a sampling site with drainage area of 183 square miles.

A very short bit of gradient may offer play at some flows.

The longer stretch of gradient (such as it is) starts with a minor ledge/wave, followed by some light boulder-bed rapids. Again, there may be some play at some flows.

If needed/desired, you could paddle (or drive) down to this campgrounds.
