River Description

First run in 2019 by Michael Ferraro & Josh Huber. Drops 652 feet in one mile. Beleive a few of the falls & rapids were named by them but unable to confirm.

Enters the Toxaway below Energizer rapid. The Toxaway will probably be at high water if this is running.

River Features

Put In Below Dam

Distance: 0.03 mi
Access Point
Put In Below Dam

Put in is below the dam. However all the surrounding area is part of a private country club of sorts. There is a sliver of public Gorges State Park property you can bushwhack through to stay legal.

Indian Creek Falls

Class: V+Distance: 0.12 mi
Other
Indian Creek Falls

Very large waterfall with a tricky lead in. Final drop lands in a large pool but wood is often gathered at the bottom.

Upper Indian Creek Falls

Class: V-Distance: 0.35 mi
Other
Upper Indian Creek Falls

Small slide into a chute. Make sure to scout before you commit to any lines as it is a tight area where wood gathers

Middle Indian Creek Falls

Distance: 0.6 mi
Other
Middle Indian Creek Falls

Large almost dome like slide with a small margin for error. Lots of wood at the bottom. River left side is very cliffed out if you portage that way.

Lower Indian Creek Falls

Class: V+Distance: 0.79 mi
Other
Lower Indian Creek Falls

Sure parts of this can be ran but it would be a one way ticket & no help is arriving out here fast. A large slide that leads into large boulder, downfall & seives. Portage on river right.

Several smaller 8-10ft drops are below but most appear to land on rocks

Confluence with Toxaway River

Distance: 0.93 mi
Other

You'll paddle out over a small bit of rocks & join the Toxaway River below Energizer. The Toxaway will be roaring by this point. Either gather your courage & continue down or bushwhack back up river left of Indian Creek over some old but overgrown hunter trails.

The Toxaway is going to be high when this creek has flow so be ready for that.
