Trip Reports
Log in to add a reportI haven't ever paddled this section but have fished in the area and this section has a very low gradient. As noted it does pass through the Rolling Rock Country Club and given the creek isn't considered navigable you almost certainly would be considered to be tresspassing as I understand PA law. I would offer it's at best a smooth run even at higher water levels and not worth the hassel you might have with the Rolling Rock folks. if you're in the area and the flow is up the section from Darlington to Kingston Dam is the best. I haven't whitewater kayaked since 1980 but in the late 70's we would do this fun little run whenever the creek was up from a heavy rain. The few rapids there are rate Class I with maybe a Class II here and there.
