The put-in is at the Ballfield on the Octoraro just downstream of US 222 on the river left side of the Susquehanna (Cecil Co.). At low to moderate levels there are a number of class II ledges on the Susquehanna down to the take-out at the Rock Run Mill area of Susquehanna River State Park on the river right side of the Susquehanna (Harford Co.). Be sure to get to the river right side of Robert Island if you intend to use the Rock Run takeout. At higher levels use discretion. There can be sudden changes in water levels due to the operation of Conowingo Dam.
