This short section can be included in either the Middle or Lower runs. It is seperated from either of those because it makes for a wonderful place to teach people some of the basics of boating or for locals trying to hone their skills to get ready for more intermediate waters. There are a couple of small surf features on this section where real time can be spent.
The first is on the right about 1/3 of the way through this section, the last is below the foot bridge near the end.
Do keep an eye out for wood, though it is not usually a problem.
The run is only 1 mile, so it is easy to jog shuttle.
Take out just downstream of the NF Eagle Creek confluence.
