A scenic beginner's run, popular with tubers and anglers. Can be split up by parking at nature center in town. Town of Pueblo recently removed a deadly lowhead dam and created a new surf/river park (Water works Park) with a dedicated river surf wave, long slide drop, and boat chute.
Accees on river right in the state park just below the dam.
Intermediate access on river left at the Nature and Wildlife Discovery Center.
The former dam is now a set of whitewater features.
Take out on river right just below the W 4th St. Bridge and at the Charles Lee foot bridge. You can also continue on down through the whitewater park.
