Deans Mill to Hudson River
||III-IV (for normal flows)

Scouted but not completely run. A gorge forms as the creek heads to the Hudson that is
reportedly full of large drops with shallow landings. May be runnable at higher flows, but
scouting and portaging may not be possible except from the rim.
More information from RiverFacts:
"There are some good sections to paddle in this river system, the Deans Mill to Hudson
River section is one of them. If you're coming from
Hudson it's not a long drive at all to the starting location,
there's a road map further down the page with more info on that. Great exercise and
just hanging out with mother nature have people coming from far and near.
This is a pretty decent length section, it's perfect for a one day trip. The Catskill
Mountains scenery is wonderful. You might be into whitewater rafting or kayaking or both,
doesn't matter, around here you'll find a large number of good places. This stretch
of Hannacrois Creek is 5.5 miles long and has been rated as a class III-IV section by
American Whitewater. For all you camping people there are campgrounds nearby. "
