River Description

This is not to be confused with the other Sideling Hill Creek, which drops into the Potomac in Maryland.

Ed Evangelidi shared:

This is a fine stream but is quite a disappointment when compared to the other Sideling Hill that flows south. It has a number of strainers to carry around and much human intrusion into the nearby scenery and the hillsides are not as interesting. If you are interested in this area, you should paddle this creek, but I would not travel far just to get on it.

Pennsylvania Dam Removal Conference to be Held January 31st.

Kevin Colburn

There will be a one day conference on January 31st in eastern Pennsylvania that will address dam removal and rehabilitation in the state and region. It is likely that this very affordable conference would be helpful to paddlers interested in working on dam removal projects in Pennsylvania and elsewhere. Registration for the conference is due by January 23rd.
