Data provided by Jack Hession and Andy Embick, local experts; 4500 Riverton, Anchorage, AK 99516
Embick reports that the first descent was on July 3, 1992, by Rich Roehner and Greg Kinney (in kayaks) and Randy Kinney (in an OC-1).
A large parking area off of Highway 4 is next to the river below the lake.
The take out shown here is the last place accessible from the highway before the river turns into meandering, braided flat water. One can easily continue on down through the meanders to the lake to enjoy a longer run and different scenery.
