at high flows there is a wavetrain (near the bar and hospital) that doesn't wash out, very capable of swamping open boats at high level (skirt on river right) .
There is no real max limit on this run. It just washes out. I ran it at 14ft and it was just fast class II waves. There were a few isolated big breaking waves but at high levels the river is so wide you can spot them easily. Just stay off the banks because of the trees and brush.
