This river drains the Flat Tops Wilderness areas and flows into the Colorado River. Flow is somewhat controlled by a small reservoir. There is whitewater above this section that has certainly been kayaked. This section can have man made hazards including wire fences. The put in at Double Falls or just below Double Falls. There are two semi-remote gorges with class III to IV rapids. The lower mile or so is bushy so watch for trees and sometimes fences. You can see a lot of the run from Eagle Co. 40 as it runs along near the river.
