2000-3000 cfs and above
Should be running at least at a medium level.
There are 3 low-head dams that are easy to spot and portage. Portage the first one on the right, portage the second on the left, and run the third one far left or portage left. This run is mostly Class II. For a better run, try Lower Duck Creek.
For more information, see Texas Whitewater.
Put-in is at approximately 580'. Takeout is at approximately 500'. Total drop = 80'. Run length is as listed in the book (4.5 miles.)
*The gauge listed is NOT on this creek, so it is only for reference.
If the gauge shows over 1000-1500 cfs, then The Duck MIGHT be running. The best way to gauge is from the walking bridge south of Beltline Road at Jupiter. If you can barely squeeze under it, it's runnable. Water over the bridge = more fun.
Permits are not required for this reach.
We have no additional detail on this route.
