River Description

The upper section is high quality class V creeking.  Lots of boulder rapids.

The lower section is class IV(V) and a good intermediate creeking run.

The runs are commonly run in conjuction.

Flow estimate here:  Between 400 and 600 cfs is ideal for a first time run, though it can be run higher, or as low as 200 cfs.

See the description in Jason Rackley's excellent Oregon Kayaking website.

The rapid known as Day of Judgement was altered circa 2007 and is now commonly portaged.
