blake blakely testified:
My personal description of Sand Hollow Creek, It's the fastest, silliest, high laugh factor fun run is the State of Washington.
I have run Sand Hollow many times in the last three or four years. The best way to break up an I-90 drive from Spokane to Seattle is to hit this run and take a swim in the Columbia. It takes a handful of people about forty-five minutes to do the run. I did a solo run in about twenty-five minutes one day. Usually the group I'm with does three to five runs a day.
June, July, and August are good months to try the run.
I have found the easiest way to portage the culvert is to exit on the upstream side of culvert river right and re-enter the creek downstream of the culvert river left. Watch out for cars on Highway 26; this portage is out in the middle of the nowhere desert and drivers are not expecting to see whitewater kayaks crossing the road. This lower section is referred to as dildo-drop because of something we found on the creek bank during our first run down this creek many years ago. Just one of the many laughs I've had on Sand Hollow Creek.

Lat/Long very approximate.
