East Bouldin Creek, Texas, US
|Usual Difficulty||II-III+ (for normal flows)|
|Avg. Gradient||30 fpm|
Continuous II+, with a crux section at class III. This small creek has a tight, one-lane
feel. You try to miss the rocks, but you hit half of them. There are no eddies, and
things change around every corner.
Put-in: W. Mary St. at approximately 505' elevation.
Take-out: S. 1st St. at Barton Springs Road, at approximately 475' elevation.
Look out for one hazardous pipe across the creek, a diversion grate, and numerous low-water bridges that could be deadly at higher water levels.
