I ran this yesterday. Put in at Wasena park by the now removed dam site, paddled upstream to just above Peter's Creek and then floated back down. Plenty of water for a solo canoe - would have been scrapey tandem. There is a weird concrete structure in the flow right at Peter's Creek - it appears to be an old water intake. Very pleasant stretch - I'll do it again.

Attention Virginia Boaters!

4/24/2003
Jason Robertson

During the high waters of Spring 2003, there has been a noticeable increase in reported confrontations between boaters and property owners in Virginia. Please remember to be respectful and courteous to property owners; do not trespass; and avoid confrontation in order to preserve access in the future.
