So after looking or running South French Creek you might be inspired to check out North Mullen Creek. After all North Mullen is just one drainage over and it can be on the access road to French Creek if Hwy 130 is snowed in. North Mullen looks like it has gradient and perhaps enough watershed to have water early in the year. Yeah this is all true. I am here to tell you not to do it. Sure you can run North Mullen and it is road-side for most of the way but this creek is small enough to only run at peak snowmelt, is packed with strainers, and has only a few small drops to make it even worth considering for a few seconds. So you have been warned.
