The gauge is located at the end of the run
below US501. Therefore, if the water flow is
dropping rapidly the river may have fallen
below minimum upstream. The Eno River is
rain dependant and can only be run during
periods of heavy rain.
There are bridge gauges at Pleasant Green
Rd and Cole Mill Rd bridges. The Guess Rd
bridge gauge no longer exists. Minimum
bridge gauge reading for solo open boater is
0.5ft. There is currently no correlation
between the two bridge gauges and no
correlation between the bridge gauges and
USGS gauges at this time.
Notes from Russ Condrey:
Cole Mill Rd to West Point on the Eno City Park
3.5' on USGS OK
4.5' on USGS / 2.0 Cole mill bridge (fun) (Nantahala like)
7.1' on USGS pushy
