Gauge Description:

The NY guide books suggests that 1100 and falling slowly or 1000 and rising on the West Branch of the Oswegatchie gauge is minimum.  On my run on 11/1/2008 the gauge read just over 1200 and was dropping slowly.  We were probably slightly below what I would consider the minimum for the run.  It is important to note that this gauge is on the WB of the Oswegatchie after the Middle Branch joins it so it can only be used as a guideline.  It is hard to judge because the run begins and ends with flatwater so that is all you see at the putin and takeout.
