Gauge Description:

Assuming an even rain on the watershed the virtual gauge should be a good indication of the flow in Beech Creek.  It is the main tributary between the Boxley and Ponca gauges on the Buffalo River.

There is a painted gauge at the take-out (Hwy 21 bridge). Look for minimum 3.0 ft or so if water level is falling.  If water is surrounding the pier with the gauge, there should be enough water.

Look for 1.5" or more rain within the last 6 to 12 hours.
