Ammonoosuc

Ran from Lower Falls Trailhead all the way to Twin Mountain. Very scenic Class II-III with one rapid pushing Class III+/IV. Keep an eye out, there is one section of the river where you can look back upstream and get stunning views all the way to the Presidentials.

The harder drop is near a pull-out on the eastbound side of Rte. 302 about a mile from the Rte. 3/302 junction. While none of the individual moves are above Class III difficulty, the whole rapid is around 200 yards long making recovery difficult and swims unpleasant. Best boat scouted, it takes a lot of walking to see the whole rapid.
