Truckee

A remote stretch that doesn't get paddled much. 5/25/26 3 of us SUP'd (1st?) from the RR bridge (RM91.9) in Wadsworth and averaged 3.9mph for 23 mi to Nixon SR447 bridge (RM111.5), 7 hr trip with breaks and the occasional tough headwind. Easy beautiful run, some C1 (C2 at other flows?) one portage right at the Numana Dam (RM 111.5) an 11ft drop.

Note, this section is completely within the Paiute Res and a day-use permit is required: https://pyramidlake.us/permits. ' Rangers'(775) 476-1155, ask you respect the private allotments making up the shoreline and remain on the water whenever possible. Low-key is the key on the res.
