Snake River Confluence with the Clearwater
Description
The Snake makes a 90 degree turn to the left with the Clearwater coming in from the right. In this photo Lewiston, Idaho is to the right and Clarkston, Washington is to the left. Lewiston is a 'seaport' due to the presence of the Lower Snake River dams which create a series of reservoirs that extend up to this point at river mile 139.2
