This creek is hard to catch when it's up. It has more features to offer than previously thought. After the running this a few times, you get the feeling of just how nice this lil' gem is. Numerous 2-3' drops, a few slides, some surfing waves, some spinning too ! A small broken dam, some feeder creeks with potential to explore.
The best section is roughly 4 miles long. Put-in at a bridge about 3 miles south of Dushore on Rte 87 (South) Head downstream from there, you will pass 4 more bridges. This is the normal take out. This is a take a chance creek, not normally run, so there are no designated parking areas at either end, just be polite, courteous, and clean your mess.
Also...this creek is in a different watershed than the Loyalsock, so , usually we plan to run the Loyalsock, and see that the Little Loyalsock is up, we always try to get a run on this hard to catch creek. It eventually meets up with the Loyalsock Creek at Forksville, PA.
