This run is doable when the other three gorges in the area are at flood. Spring Creek, Blackburn Fork, and Roaring River need to be thumping. Beautiful little gorge with some cool slides. There is a cascading 12-15 ft fall with the runout dropping the entire flow of the river over a 20 ft wide 4 foot ledge. It is also backed up by a sieve. You WILL NOT swim out of this hole so if you plan on running this drop, have someone at the bottom with a rope. Eddy out early on the right up against the bluff to scout or portage. Don't let this one sneak up on you. It could be bad. The rest of the run is easy class 2.
