This was the most significant challenge of the 1/2 mile or so of class II-III boogie water along VA 100 and above the confluence with Big Walker Creek. Might be the remains of a large beaver dam built during the summer '07 drought, breached by the late October rains. Easy line on left, but with a strainer luking just below it.
A beaver dam built during the drought of '07 and breached by rains of October 07. Greatest challenge of a 1/2 mile or so of class II-III boogie water between Route 100 bridge and confluence with Big Walker Creek.
A low-water bridge to a farm a little ways above the take out at Bane, VA. We ran on far right, and then proceeded to surf the downstream right side, with safety precautions.
