Big Creek

The log jam described from 2016 is still there and is likely worse (definitely unrunnable). At 3.5 ft on the Big Creek gauge ( https://waterdata.usgs.gov/nwis/uv?site\_no=12035450 ) there wasn't much in the way of eddies above the jam and no great way to climb out. You can attain back out of the gorge, but it would be a difficult situation if you were just getting into class III and weren't prepared for some strong paddling.

If you want to run this little gorge you can rappel in right below the drop onto an interesting geological feature on river left and seal launch in from there.
