There is a DOE gauge on the Washougal: https://fortress.wa.gov/ecy/wrx/wrx/flows/station.asp?sta=28B080
You can also get a visual from the Washougal Road Bridge. If it looks medium low here the run is probably at a medium level (it narrows up quite a bit in the gorge sections)
Ran on 1/29/06 from the Skamania Mines Road Bridge down to the Washougal (cutting out upper 2 miles of creek) at about 3,500 cfs on the gauge. This was an excellent medium flow. Very fun creeking with many fun class 3-4+ rapids and some fantastic surfing.
Your first time down be sure to watch for horizon lines. One in particular is a very recommended portage a few drops past the Skamania Mines Rd. bridge... it's a 15 foot undercut drop. Real ugly. Catch the small eddy on the left to portage.
