4. Patterson Bend (Kerckhoff Reservoir to Kerchoff #1 PH)
This class 5 rapid is steep and congested at low flows. We automatically portaged. There is a tiny channel against the right wall that allowed us to boat down quite a ways before getting out of our boats. At high flows the right edge is probably boatable all the way through.
