I ran this creek today; it's quite a fun run. The boof, upon closer inspection, is similar to suck pop from teter creek up north. There's a slide above it (not very steep but VERY slick and plenty of water), and then there's a slide boof. This creek reminds me of Teter Creek a lot. There are plenty of slides with diagonal waves and not much gradient. The boof is the only notable drop; everything else is class two boogie water. I'm very happy that I fell upon this creek; it's the closest whitewater that I have. I ran it at a low level; the simon to RD Bailey stretch of the guyandotte was running, so one might be able to judge this creek's level by that gauge.
It's a very fun run. I put in at a small one lane bridge about a mile and a half from the confluence with the guyandotte under RD bailey dam, and I shuttled by foot. (Just as one might on Teter Creek)
