4) Lake Piru to Santa Clara River(Lower Piru)
I suspect the tower is an old gauging station. The weir or low head dam made it easier to measure and calculate the flows. There was plenty of water in a chute right next to the tower, but it goes into the tangle of branches hanging from the tree. We paddled off the ledge a few feet further out from the river right and easily missed the branches.
