Bob Booth lines up for the first drop. There used to be a rock in the center line, so paddlers called this one 'Ankle Breaker'. Scout on left
Joe Booth finishes up the last section of Falls #1. This is the last drop of the 200 yard rapid upstream. The rapid consists of a right to left intro move, with big holes waiting down stream. The line on the left (shown here) is the last move.
Bob Booth makes the intro moves on the center line of Falls #2. This sequence requires a boof stroke and then getting either left or right of the huge rock in the center of the river. Majority of the water goes right up against the wall. Scout on the left.
Bob Booth finishes up the hole at the bottom of Falls #2. A great majority of the current pushes up against the rock wall on the right and flipped three out of three paddlers who took this line. Below the drop is a nice recovery pool. Scout on the left.
Joe Booth takes the left line on Falls #2. Scout Left.
Joe Booth rock braces his way into the top of Falls #3. This shot was taken at begining of the last third of this rapid. Above this spot are a few boofs and holes. Below this shot is a bouncy/trashy vein of whitewater. Scout left.
There is a nice recovery pool about 25 yards below this point. Scout left.
This lower rapid is mentioned in the guide books. We can't recal the name. It is a river wide ledge which can be scouted on the left. Run it straight down the river with a solid boof. about 30 feet from the lip is rock that splits the river. CAUTION This rocks has severe pin potential. At medium to high flows it is mostly covered, but still causes problems.
