Joe Matulis, 25, a teacher in St. Johns, jumps into the Red Cedar River behind the MSU Administration Building Wednesday to surf the white water rapids. The recent flooding created a standing wave just feet from the shore. "It's so close you just walk out and jump on it," said Mike Matulis, his brother.
