Red Cedar

First time the river has really been up and runnable this year. Even though it was in the low 40's and the water was even colder, there was a crowd. There were 4 surfers and 2 kayaks when I got there. A surfer said there was two more people earlier. When I left, another kayaker showed up. Good eddies on both sides, but the wave could only be attained on river left; river right was pretty washed out. For the first 3rd from left, it was a green wave, the middle 3rd was a hole, and then the last 3rd broke up into a series of small waves. Easy surfing on the green wave, you could stay all day, and one of the surfers did (more or less), though you could easily have two out there at the same time. There was more exciting surfing in the hole.
