Red Cedar

Snowmelt caused the river to rise. Nice day, 50 degrees and sunny. There was still ice across the river upstream and an occasional chunk of ice coming down stream. I was the only one there from noon to 3, but as I was leaving, Bill, then another paddler, showed up. Either left or right was good, though the surfing was bit better from the right. The green wave, just right of center, was good for front surfing. I could spin the rougher water/hole to the right of this. Going across and back wasn't too bad. The left was more of a whole and just to the left of center was the usual hole for side surfing.
