Clear Creek

Dan Peschio and I spent a couple of hours clearing 86-B from Overflow Road to the put-in at the dead end. The shuttle would be a long one. From Warwoman Road, take Hale Ridge Road north east to Overflow Road. Take a right onto Overflow Road and then left onto 86-B. You'll need a high clearance vehicle to drive over some of the logs we left. We tried to paddle in from Clear Creek yesterday, but there is too much wood to get through. We did see two 30 - 40 foot unrunnable falls on the way in, though. Although we did not get to run Overflow, I could only assume there would be a lot of new wood (judging by the 30+ trees down across Overflow Road from the take-out bridge up to the 86-C intersection). That's a shame considering the relatively wood free condition left after tropical storm Frances went through last week.
