Bingo Brook

On 7/12/2021, I received word that the US Forest Service has plans to increase the coarse woody debris in this creek to enhance fish habitat. While we can all agree that there are pros and cons to this type of project, the local affect is perhaps drastic. If there are any locals who paddle this creek, I implore that you get involved in the collaborative process and offer some feedback on the affect to recreation as this area seems to have little recreational whitewater, and Bingo creek may be one of the only gems around. Rather than suggest that this project be trashed, perhaps suggest that wood is strategically placed so that there are 'safe' lines around the wood as such wood could obviously pose a deadly risk.
