Image taken from the Hazel Ave. bridge, showing a closer look at the fish barrier. A large number of salmon had already arrived before the grates were in place this year, 2011. Those fish are trapped between the barrier and Nimbus dam where there is no suitable spawning areas, according to a person at the hatchery.
