Little Elk Creek (Elk Creek/Lake Erie trib.)

This falls turns into a lethal Class V+ at this level. The hole and whirlpool below the falls is inescapable. At moderate levels this falls is a fun Class II. Use common sense. My paddle got swepped swept away and off the falls when I took out to portage. It took me 15 minutes to tangle it in my throw bag to pull it ashore. It kept getting sucked in and swept under yet never escaped the whirlpool. This is a good indication that it won't let go of a swimmer either. After getting my paddle back I snapped this picture.
