McClintock Run

mcclintock runs under the road then a road follows the creek. you can put in on the road that follows the creek at a pull off or i have heard of a church you could park at. the run is more boogy water than anything but the gradient picks up toward the casselman. three big drops are pretty close together (2nd and 3rd truly run into each other). first drop has good class III boogy leading into about an eight foot drop run down the center just right of a rock in the middle. 2nd and 3rd drop has you driving right to left behind a midstream boulder then down a slide on the left side which sets you up for the 3rd part of the drop where the creek necks down and cascades down a slide with a nasty looking rock in the middle but it doesn't seem to cause any problems. you must drive into an eddy on the right after the drops. we took out after this and hiked to the casselman (few eddies and maybe only one or two smaller drops). i didn't look at the last quarter mile that we walked due to beta at the time, but check it out yourself. the whole time hiking i was wishing i had checked the rest out and ran it (hard hike).
