We took out at a diversion dam near where the steep canyon comes into the open valley. We put in 2.5 miles up stream. The gradient averaged 380fpm. There are some good drops but there are some very long and labor intensive portages. Most of the bigger drops are not clean. We tried to move fast and we still were on the water for around 7 hours. Another group reported taking 6 hours.

It was easy to get a permit and everyone that saw us asked to see the permit so it is very important to get one.
