I set the video camera up at the end of The Flake for this interesting perspective of The Spout. From this vantage point you get a good feel for the overall height of this drop.
This is the second of three drops on the Virginia side of Great Falls. There are several moves to make before you reach the relative calm in the moving pool above The Spout.
This was Jerry's first run of the Virginia line of Great Falls. I wonder what was going through his head when he got back into the eddy?
Over the course of the next two hundred yards or so the river drops 60'. I love Great Falls.
