UPDATE: As of 2-24-2009 the log accross Belt Creek approx1-2 miles below Neihart has been partially removed. This has cleared an opening on the river right. Still a very dangerous log, so portaging still might be a good idea. Hopefully more of the log will be removed by the end of March.
